Abstract: | We have tested 16 putative reference genes in peripheral whole blood of control and heat stressed ovine samples to detect stable genes for the heat-shock response. To determine gene expression stability a new approach based in Maximum Likelihood estimation of Mixed Model parameters has been tested and compared to commonly used software (NormFinder and geNorm). Differences in the stability rankings of genes were found among the three approaches. Under our approach SDHA and MDH1 was the best set of genes to be normalizers of target genes in heat shock experiments in the ovine specie |
